English photographer Kirsty Mitchell creates and captures her colourful and surreal world in her “Wonderland” series. At first sight, you can say she is inspired by “Alice in Wonderland” but when you get to know more about her story, you see it is the loss of her mother which lets her discover her creativity and find solace. Formerly, she was the student of Alexander McQueen and Hussein Chalayan as a fashion designer. The sets and costumes are all handmade and required almost 5 months to finish which is a concrete proof of her natural talent for styling besides her photography skills. Have a look at her “Wonderland” artwork, each piece of which is like a story without words.
