Short Film: Social Network

You will remember Eduardo Salles’s funny and cynical illustrations about social commentary that we shared with you here a coupleof days ago. Now we have a short named “Social Network” which is about almost the same topic. In today’s world, smart phones and social networks make the most of our lives. But we must confess that we are almost lost between the real world and the virtual one we created online. A Bird Ballet

Neels Castillon: “We were shooting for a commercial with my D.O.P, waiting for an helicopter flying into the sunset, when thousands and thousands of birds came and made this incredible dance in the sky. It was amazing, we just forgot our job and started this little piece of poetry… Enjoy!”

The French student film Destiny starts out innocuous enough. Average Joe wakes up to his alarm clock, makes a bit of breakfast, and heads out the door. Then—WHAM—normalcy fades and all hell breaks loose. The result? It’sGroundhog’s Day via Pixar–a time bending, frantic journey where our hero must save himself all while navigating the space time continuum.

The Makeover

The Makeover is a fun mashup of a few of films—a dash ofCinderella, a liberal dose of Beauty and the Beast, with intriguing cameos by Peter Pan and The Little Mermaid, all in a sly, Enchanted-like modern setting. The result is a pretty and fun film, that is notable for its character design and facial animations.
